Privacy Policy

GV Advisors ("we," "us," "our") is the advisory practice of Girish Vira. This policy explains what information we collect through gvadvisors.in (the "Site"), why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

By submitting the enquiry form on this Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. What we collect

a) Information you give us directly, through the enquiry form:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone / WhatsApp number (optional)
  • Which situation is closest to yours (buying, already own a unit, considering more units, considering franchising your own business, or other)
  • Where you are based
  • Who will run the business day to day
  • Roughly what capital is involved
  • When you need to decide
  • What happened recently that made you look into this (free text — this is the field we read first, and the most detailed answer you give us)

We do not require any of this beyond what's listed as required on the form. Phone/WhatsApp is optional.

b) Information collected automatically:

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this Site — pages viewed, time on site, general location (city/country level, not precise), device and browser type, and how you arrived here. This is aggregate usage data. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this; see Section 6.

We do not use advertising pixels (Meta, LinkedIn, or similar) and we do not run retargeting campaigns from this Site.

3. How we use what we collect

  • To read and assess your enquiry, and reply within one working day with a view on whether a paid conversation is worth having.
  • To route your enquiry correctly (which of the three services applies to you).
  • To contact you about your enquiry, by email, phone or WhatsApp, using the details you provided.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how people find and use this Site, so we can improve it.

We do not use your enquiry answers for any purpose beyond assessing and responding to it, and — where you go on to engage us — delivering that engagement.

4. How your enquiry reaches us

The enquiry form sends your answers by email directly to gv@gvadvisors.in. There is no third-party form processor, booking calendar, or CRM in this flow — the email inbox is the only place your submission lands. Girish reads and responds to every enquiry personally.

5. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with any franchise brand, franchise network, or third party for their marketing purposes. We hold no brand relationships that pay us, and none of them has access to enquiry data.

We may disclose information where required by law, or to protect our legal rights.

Google Analytics data is processed by Google in accordance with Google's own privacy policy — see Section 6.

If you go on to engage us for advisory work, information relevant to that engagement is used only for the purposes of delivering it, under the terms of that engagement.

6. Cookies and Google Analytics

This Site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to distinguish you from other visitors and to collect standard log information (pages visited, time on site, referring site, approximate location, device and browser type). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally unless combined with information you separately provide us (for example, through the enquiry form).

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings to block third-party cookies. Blocking cookies will not affect your ability to use the Site or submit an enquiry.

We do not currently use any cookies beyond Google Analytics — no advertising cookies, no third-party tracking pixels.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep enquiry data until you ask us to delete it. See Section 8 for how to do that.

Where you engage us for advisory work, records relevant to that engagement are retained for as long as reasonably necessary for professional, tax and legal purposes.

8. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Ask us to confirm what personal data of yours we hold, and to access it.
  • Ask us to correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Ask us to erase your data, where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.
  • Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect anything done before withdrawal).
  • Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
  • Raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Children's data

This Site and our services are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted data to us, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information you share with us. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.

13. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from it are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
